Some Tidbits about your Social Security Card
When I was a freshman in college, I remember my first class of my first day of my first term succinctly. The prof (keep in mind, this was before the wonderful ‘identity theft’ issues we live with today) read each student’s name off a list to confirm attendance, and then their social security number. Yes, out loud. Again, we live in different times.
But what made it so memorable for me was the fact that this prof, after reading each social security number, made a guess as to where the student was from. While he didn’t nail it every time he was accurate in his guesses.
“How’d you know?” the inevitable question surfaced.
